Before we stayed in Paris, we spent a night at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Versailles. The city is so beautiful, I can barely put it into words. The hotel courtyard was simply breathtaking. Bonus: All of our standard uber rides were either a Jaguar, Mercedes Benz, Audi, or the like.
Paris is by far, one of the most romantic cities in the world. Everything about Paris is just sexy. We stayed at the Hilton Paris Opera, which was right across from a pretty dope mall and McDonalds (which, to no one’s surprise, had a broken ice cream machine and they were out of lemonade).
When we went to the Eiffel Tower, we got lost looking for the office that had our passes for a river cruise. We walked for close to an hour in 90 degree heat, wondering around and staring at French street signs. Once we gathered our barring, we rode to the top of the tower and stood in awe of the entire city. We kissed and in that moment, I felt like the only girl in the world. Being in his arms, on top of the Eiffel Tower, eyes closed, and realizing that I wasn’t dreaming; I was living the dream.
All in all, the whole trip was perfect. Were there things I would do differently next time? Like buy a bigger data plan and remember to bring a universal charger? Absolutely. I’m still extremely thankful that God allowed us that opportunity and trust, it won’t be our last time living like Europeans!
