My Morning Sunrise Smoothie is a great alternative for all my coffee lovers. It serves up a boost of energy PLUSgives you a a nice helping of fruits and vegetables to start the day. This is my go-to when I don’t feel like my usual bowl of oatmeal or scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast. With a scoop of protein, this can easily be a breakfast replacement.
This recipe was inspired by Amy in the Kitchen, a stylish recipe blogger and fellow Atlantan. I love it because it’s refreshing, nourishing, and quite tasty. I also love that it isn’t super complicated to make and it doesn’t require a lot of manual work (like peeling oranges and cutting the core out of apples).
I’m really crushing over my new Nutri Ninja Personal Blender right now too. I picked it up about 3 months ago and I’m so obsessed with it. The last blender I had didn’t blend green leafy vegetables very well, so my smoothies would still have bigger pieces of spinach or kale that I’d have to chew through. Talk about a texture turnoff! My new Ninja blends everything so well, usually under 60 seconds! The cleanup is very convenient too. I picked mine up from Target, but you can order one for yourself by clicking Caroline’s Favorite Blender
